American high-quality collectible brand Premium Collectibles Studio (PCS) has once again launched a new product based on "Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace" – the "Darth Maul" 1/3 Scale Hyperreal Collectible Statue. The suggested retail price is US$2,999, limited to 300 pieces worldwide, and is expected to ship in Q4 2025!
Darth Maul, the main antagonist of "Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace," is the apprentice of Darth Sidious. He was ordered to capture Queen Amidala of Naboo. The spectacular duel between Darth Maul and the master-apprentice duo of Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi in Theed Royal Palace on Naboo at the end of the film is undoubtedly one of the most memorable scenes in the movie, and one of the most classic action sequences in the series!
This Darth Maul collectible statue reaches an astonishing height of 79 cm, boasting ultra-fine details that far surpass the previously released Darth Maul 1/3 scale collectible statue. The head sculpt is crafted using silicone molding combined with exquisite painting techniques, vividly reproducing the facial features of actor Ray Park after his special effects makeup. His yellow eyes are made of glass to recreate his terrifying gaze, with even the delicate blood vessels in his eyes meticulously restored!
The costume features real fabric to recreate the Sith Lord's robes and belt, while parts like the gloves and boots are sculpted with incredibly intricate artistry to replicate the texture of leather, with even the dyed stitching details faithfully reproduced! The lightsaber held in Darth Maul's left hand has an LED light-up function, and the base features marks from lightsaber slashes. When the light-up effect is activated, one can almost feel the scorching threat emanating from the lightsaber!
The base once again features sculpted reliefs on all four sides, recreating four scenes from the classic Theed Royal Palace duel. Each relief also has an LED light-up function above it, elevating the overall quality of the statue even further! The US$2,999 price tag certainly startled many collectors, but the clever combination of various mixed media this time is truly astonishing!
