Bandai's GASHAPON division will release a new product based on the popular anime "Haikyu!!" – the "Haikyu!! Flat Marker Charms" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 300 JPY per capsule, with an anticipated release in late June 2025!
"Haikyu!!" is a volleyball-themed anime series originally created by Japanese manga artist Haruichi Furudate and adapted by Japanese animation studio Production I.G. The story follows Shoyo Hinata, a protagonist with a small stature but immense passion for volleyball, as he joins the once-strong Karasuno High School volleyball team and, together with his teammates, overcomes challenges to face one powerful school after another.
The marker charm series features a rubber ring attached to the charm, allowing it to be placed on items like umbrellas or water bottles for easy identification, preventing mix-ups! This flat marker charm version features popular characters from five schools in the series, printed as approximately 4.3 cm acrylic charms. The lineup includes Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, Kei Tsukishima, Yu Nishinoya, and Ryunosuke Tanaka from Karasuno; Toru Oikawa from Aoba Johsai; Kenma Kozume and Tetsuro Kuroo from Nekoma; Kotaro Bokuto and Keiji Akaashi from Fukurodani; and Atsumu Miya and Osamu Miya from Inarizaki, totaling 12 different designs. Each character's appearance is interpreted with adorable chibi proportions. The rubber ring can also be removed for use as a regular charm. This rich selection of characters allows collectors to create their favorite pairings! (Though Tsukishima and Oikawa seem to be left out?)
