Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou)" series, which sculpts from the skeletal structure to give tokusatsu heroes their original cool appearance and natural articulation, has announced the latest product from "Kamen Rider Ryuki," "Kamen Rider Ryuki," is scheduled for release in August 2025.
Kamen Rider Ryuki is the Kamen Rider transformed by the protagonist, intern reporter Shinji Kido, after he accidentally obtains the "Rider Deck and Card Set." He thus gains the ability to enter the "Mirror World" and becomes embroiled in a struggle among 13 Riders where survival depends on fighting. His initial Blank Form is weak, but after forming a contract with his Contract Monster, "Dragreder," he can unleash the true power of the card deck, summoning weapons such as the Drag Saber, Drag Shield, and Drag Claw. He can even directly summon Dragreder to assist in combat and execute his finishing move, the "Dragon Rider Kick."
The 10th-anniversary masterpiece of the Shinkocchou Seihou series, "Kamen Rider Ryuki," meticulously sculpts the physique and proportions from its 2002 broadcast era, starting from the skeletal structure. It also marks the series' first use of a light-gathering head part; when replaced, shining a light from the back of the head concentrates brightness into the helmet's red eyes, creating a self-illuminating effect.
Accessories include five "Advent Cards" made of PET material. These mini cards, measuring only about 1 cm in length, feature faithfully reproduced card illustrations. They can be combined with the included interchangeable hands to recreate a series of actions such as deploying the Advent Deck, drawing cards from the belt, and loading cards into the Advent Deck.
Weapons include the Drag Saber and Drag Claw, which are closer to their in-show scale compared to previous S.H.Figuarts versions. Precise painting is used to reproduce the colors of the dragon head, hilt, and other details.
While maintaining the sculpted details of the bones, muscles, and joints, Shinkocchou Seihou Ryuki still features precise articulation divisions and an excellent range of motion, allowing for dynamic combat poses with various weapons. Notably, the ankle joint parts, while large to maintain the overall aesthetic, also achieve significant forward and side bending. This superb articulation and ground contact allow for the cool stances Ryuki takes when performing his finishing moves.
