Legendary actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were recently found dead at their Santa Fe, New Mexico home. Hackman was 95, and Arakawa was 63. Local authorities stated that no suspicious circumstances have been found, and the case remains under investigation.

According to a statement from the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office in New Mexico, deputies responded to a call Wednesday afternoon at the Hackmans' residence on Sunset Trail, where they discovered both individuals deceased. Their pet dog was also found dead.
The cause of death for the Hackmans has not yet been determined. Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza stated, "This case is still under investigation, but at this time, there is no evidence to suggest foul play."

Gene Hackman was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, a two-time Academy Award winner known for his resilient and often tough-guy screen presence. His notable works include his portrayal of Lex Luthor in 1978's "Superman," the classic 1971 action film "The French Connection," 1970's "I Never Sang for My Father," 1974's "The Conversation," 1986's "Hoosiers," and 1992's "Unforgiven."
He last appeared on screen in 2004's "Welcome to Mooseport," after which he retired from acting. He and his wife settled in a quiet Santa Fe, New Mexico community, living a private life with rare public appearances and virtually no interviews in recent years.
