Japanese toy company Kotobukiya, in collaboration with renowned illustrator Shunya Yamashita, is set to release a 1/7 scale PVC figure of the popular character "Hsien-Ko" (Lei-Lei) from their "Darkstalkers Bishoujo (Vampire Bishoujo)" series, part of the "BISHOUJO" figure brand. The figure is scheduled for release in September 2025, with a suggested retail price of 25,300 JPY.
Hsien-Ko, who first appeared in "Darkstalkers 2" (Vampire Hunter), originally studied under her immortal mother alongside her elder sister, Lin-Lin. After being attacked by monsters from the demon world, she transformed into a zombie-like appearance, while her sister became the talisman on Hsien-Ko's forehead. The two fight tirelessly to save their mother's soul, trapped in the demon world. Her fighting style is characterized by using various hidden weapons concealed within her seemingly oversized sleeves, such as iron claws and throwing knives. She is also a popular character in the Darkstalkers series.
This Hsien-Ko figure from Kotobukiya's Darkstalkers Bishoujo series is also crafted in 1/7 scale, standing approximately 29 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Hsien-Ko's in-game appearance, including her Chinese-style zombie attire, the significantly large iron claw weapons on both hands, her dynamic pose standing on one leg with her right arm extended, and her adorable expression, making her incredibly endearing. Every detail of her outfit has been meticulously reproduced, including the revealing cutout on her chest and the talisman on her forehead. Fans of Darkstalkers characters will definitely want to add this to their collection.
