TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., will release two new items under its deformed-style character figure brand, Figuarts mini, based on the popular anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS." These articulated figures, "Taro Sakamoto" and "Shin Asakura," will both be priced at 3,520 JPY and are scheduled for release in July 2025!
"SAKAMOTO DAYS" is a work by manga artist Yuto Suzuki, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020. It was adapted into a TV anime by TMS Entertainment in January 2025. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, once the strongest hitman, who, after retiring, getting married, having children, and becoming an overweight middle-aged man, is targeted for elimination by his former assassin organization. He then teams up with his junior, Shin, who came to persuade him, to fight back against the assassin organization.
This time, Figuarts mini condenses Sakamoto and Shin into a compact size of approximately 9 cm. They feature the characters in their apron-clad outfits from when they work at the store. Sculpted in an approximately 2.5-head-tall proportion, they faithfully recreate Sakamoto's rounded, post-weight-gain physique and Shin's sharp, detailed appearance. Sakamoto comes with interchangeable hand parts for holding a gun and a Nissin Cup Noodle, while Shin comes with interchangeable hand parts for a two-handed gun-aiming pose. These can be swapped to display the "extraordinary everyday" filled with various dangers from the series!
