Issued by BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, the latest prize figure themed after the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM", "G-CERAMICAL Rising Freedom Gundam Bust", is set to officially launch in Japan starting March 5, 2025.
Rising Freedom Gundam is a mobile suit designed by the neutral nation Orb, based on data from the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam and incorporating the transformation mechanism of the MVF-M11C Murasame. It shares the same frame design as the Immortal Justice Gundam, features an all-around monitor in the cockpit, and is equipped with a VPS armor system, numerous long-range armaments, and an MA transformation mechanism resembling a fighter jet. The overall design omits the "Super DRAGOON" mobile weapon wings used as funnels, making it closer to the Freedom Gundam manufactured in C.E. 71.
The new series "G-CERAMICAL" is inspired by ceramic craftsmanship, applying a glossy ivory white coating to the surface of the model parts to replicate the texture of transparent glaze firing. The first product in the series is the "Rising Freedom Gundam Bust," standing approximately 23 cm tall. The entire piece, including the base, has a substantial presence. Its intricate sculpting meticulously reproduces the sharp edges of various armor parts, the refined appearance of the antenna and face mask, and even allows for self-application of partial gold paint, giving the bust a luxurious feel.
