The "HG" collectible series, released by Bandai's GASHAPON division in Japan, which injects intricate sculpting and exquisite coloring into miniature sizes, will release the "HG Ultraman: Unforgivable Life Arc" (ウルトラマン 許されざるいのち編) in late June 2025! The suggested retail price is 500 Japanese Yen per capsule, with a total of four styles to collect.
The title of this Gashapon toy series comes from "The Return of Ultraman" Episode 34, "Unforgivable Life." The story recounts how Hideki Go, the human host of Ultraman Jack, and his childhood friend Ichiro Mizuno, wanted to create a life form that was neither animal nor plant. Mizuno not only possessed professional knowledge but also had an almost obsessive passion for science, life, and species; ultimately, he successfully fused a lizard and a pitcher plant using "α Leon Electromagnetic Waves (αレオン電磁波)," creating the synthetic monster "Leogon (tentative translation, レオゴン)" at the Mizuno Biological Research Institute. Although the research was successful, Leogon's existence gradually spiraled out of control, growing into a 50-meter-class carnivorous giant monster.
In addition to "Ultraman Jack" and "Leogon" from the aforementioned episode, "HG Ultraman: Unforgivable Life Arc" also features the first-ever HG three-dimensionalization of the plant-based monster "Cosmic Demon Tree Godjagira"! Finally, there's "Ultraman Dyna," who confronts Godjagira; within the 7.5-9 cm size, realistic detail sculpting and precise coloring are fully showcased – it's absolutely amazing!
