Bandai Spirits, a Japanese toy company, has announced the latest product in its new soft vinyl figure series 'JAPAN GODZILLA', which is based on Toho's monster 'Godzilla' series. The 'Godzilla (2023) Sakura Color' is scheduled to be sold exclusively at the official Godzilla Store, 'GODZILLA STORE', starting March 14, 2025.
The new series 'JAPAN GODZILLA' differs from Bandai's current 'MOVIE MONSTER' and other soft vinyl figures that primarily depict original character colors. Instead, it applies color schemes inspired by Japanese culture and landscapes, such as ink wash paintings and Mount Fuji, to the base of the 'Godzilla' series soft vinyl figures. This allows tourists visiting Japan from other countries who love the 'Godzilla' IP to purchase suitable souvenirs to take home.
The newly released 'JAPAN GODZILLA Godzilla (2023) Sakura Color' utilizes the same soft vinyl base as the previous Mount Fuji Color / Ink Painting Color. This 5-inch 'Godzilla (2023)' soft vinyl figure, made of transparent material, is painted with a vibrant and charming pink gradient, allowing visitors to Japan during the spring cherry blossom viewing season to also take home a sakura-colored Godzilla!
