The three-dimensional art finished model series 『TAMASHII ART』, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has officially announced the release of its first product from 《Dragon Ball》, 「Son Goku & Dragon」, slated for October 2025.
The brand-new 『TAMASHII ART』 series will encompass classic flat illustrations from famous works, utilizing Bandai's sculpting technology to bring the characters, backgrounds, and text within the artwork to life in exquisite three-dimensional form, with perfect size and angle, and meticulously painted to reproduce the original artwork's colors. The frame-shaped base can be freely hung on a wall or displayed flat as an art installation. With built-in LED lights, the artwork, which transcends 2D limitations, can be admired from various angles.
The debut product is based on the cover illustration of 《Dragon Ball》's final chapter, drawn by the esteemed Akira Toriyama. The title text 「DRAGON BALL」, the clouds in the background, Goku looking into the distance and seemingly saluting, and the blue Shenron characteristic of the original manga version are all rendered in exquisite three-dimensional detail with perfect proportions, and layered within the frame's space. The 27.5 cm tall frame can be displayed on various surfaces and walls, and combined with the built-in LED lights around its perimeter, it creates soft yet realistic lighting effects.
