Danish LEGO toy company officially announced yesterday (4th) its latest product, "Beauty and the Beast Castle," item number 43263, from Disney's classic animated feature film "Beauty and the Beast"! It is scheduled for release on April 4, 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$279.99.
After "71040 Disney Castle" and the "43222 Disney Castle" commemorating Disney's centennial, we finally welcome the third classic castle – this time it's the Beauty and the Beast Castle, with 2916 pieces! Once assembled, this set stands approximately 53 cm tall and measures 33 cm long. The exterior features a main color palette of pinkish-purple, burgundy, and sand, accented with white, green, and gray pieces. Combined with its beautiful spires, the overall aesthetic is one of exquisite classical beauty.
Turning to the back, one can fully appreciate the four-story interior of the Beauty and the Beast Castle, which includes a high-ceilinged ballroom with a rotating mechanism, a dining room, and a tower room housing the enchanted rose. The first-floor hall even features a beautiful night sky directly crafted into the windows and can be pulled out independently to serve as a display base for Belle and the Beast – incredibly romantic!
Next, let's look at the 10 minifigures and brick-built characters included in the set! This includes five LEGO minifigures: Belle, Beast, Gaston, LeFou, and Maurice, as well as brick-built characters Lumière, Cogsworth, Chip, Mrs. Potts, and Madame de Garderobe (the Wardrobe). The official images also show interchangeable parts for Belle to sit down, and a replacement head for the Beast as the Prince after his curse is broken.
▼ Madame de Garderobe is super cute! However, she isn't counted among the character lineup on the LEGO official website. Is it because she's too much of a wardrobe? (What does that mean?)
