BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, a Japanese company, officially unveiled today (the 6th) a new product under its S.H.Figuarts action figure brand: the "Miles G. Morales" action figure, based on the movie "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse." The suggested retail price is 11,000 JPY, with an estimated release in August 2025!
The "Miles G. Morales" that protagonist Miles encounters at the end of "Across the Spider-Verse" is the Miles from Earth-42 who was originally meant to become Spider-Man. However, the radioactive spider that was supposed to bite him was transported by The Spot to Earth-1610, leaving Earth-42 without Spider-Man's protection and turning it into a dark universe. Miles, in turn, became that universe's Prowler. The release date for the sequel, "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse," has been repeatedly delayed, with recent rumors suggesting it might not be released until after 2027, much to the disappointment of many fans.
This Miles G. Morales action figure stands approximately 16 cm tall, faithfully recreating the appearance of Miles from Earth-42 when he emerged in his Prowler suit at the end of the animation. Details such as the pockets and decorations on the suit are meticulously rendered. The Prowler emblem, spray-painted by Miles, is printed on the chest, and even the small detail of the untied shoelaces on his customized Air Jordan 1 Utility shoes is exquisitely reproduced!
The paintwork uses a pearlescent finish to replicate the metallic texture of the pink and black mask and the Prowler's claws. The figure can also display a claw-less appearance using interchangeable arm parts. Accessories include four sets of interchangeable hands, one pair of interchangeable arm parts, two sets of clawed hands, one pair of interchangeable mask eye parts, and two Miles G. Morales head sculpts. These sculpts faithfully reproduce his dreadlocked hairstyle, distinct from protagonist Miles, and his defiant expression, showcasing a completely different villainous aura!
