Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY, under its popular Nendoroid series, is launching a new product in its "Nendoroid Basic" line – a simplified version with fewer face parts and accessories, based on the concept of "cheaper and faster." This new item is an action figure of "Hitori Gotoh" from "Bocchi the Rock!", with a suggested retail price of 3,900 JPY, scheduled for release in July 2025!
"Bocchi the Rock!" is a four-panel manga series created by Japanese manga artist Aki Hamaji, which was adapted into an anime by CloverWorks and aired in 2022. The story follows the protagonist, "Bocchi" Hitori Gotoh, who constantly practices guitar with the dream of forming a band, but due to her social anxiety, she has been unable to achieve it. One day after school, by chance, she meets Nijika Ijichi, who is struggling to find a guitarist for her band, and thus joins "Kessoku Band." Together with bassist Ryo Yamada and Ikuyo Kita, the two begin their musical activities, and Bocchi gradually confronts her social anxiety.
This "Hitori Gotoh Maid Ver." stands approximately 10 cm tall. It features Bocchi's maid outfit from episode 11 of the anime, worn for her class's maid cafe during the cultural festival. The maid outfit's design details are faithfully sculpted in the Nendoroid's adorable proportions. For expressions, it includes a standard face and the "ghost face" she used to scare off two bullies. Bocchi's electric guitar accessory is also included. Furthermore, this time, purchases from the GSC official website will include the "Maid Cafe" sign she held at the classroom door in the show, allowing for an even more complete recreation of the scene!
