Ben Affleck's upcoming directorial effort, the Netflix crime thriller "Animals," which he also stars in, has been steadily building its ensemble cast. The latest additions to the roster include Ray Fisher, Mark Kassen, and Christopher Woodley. Fisher's involvement marks a mini-reunion for DC fans, as he previously starred alongside Affleck in "Zack Snyder's Justice League," where Fisher played Cyborg and Affleck portrayed Batman.
Previously announced cast members for the film include Gillian Anderson, Kerry Washington, Steven Yeun, and Adriana Paz. Netflix is set to distribute the movie.

"Animals" is being produced by Artists Equity, the production company co-founded by Affleck and Matt Damon, in collaboration with Fifth Season and MakeReady. Both Affleck and Damon are also serving as producers on the project. The screenplay originated from a story by Connor McIntyre, with Billy Ray, known for "Captain Phillips," penning the rewrite. The film follows a mayoral candidate whose son is kidnapped, leaving him and his wife with no choice but to take extreme measures to rescue their child amidst a landscape of political and other adversaries.
