Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced a new plastic model kit, the "DHV Magellan 1/350 Scale Plastic Model Kit," from game creator Hideo Kojima's latest masterpiece, "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach," slated for release in August 2025.

Scheduled for release on June 26, 2025, the game "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach" will continue the captivating story and characters of its predecessor, exploring various secrets, engaging in thrilling and diverse battles within a large open-world setting, and influencing other players through social strand gameplay. Protagonist Sam Porter Bridges from the previous game embarks on a new journey with his companions, seeking human connections beyond the UCA, fulfilling an inspiring mission to save humanity from extinction, and investigating the lingering question: should connections truly be forged?
The "DHV Magellan," now brought to life as a physical model, is the mobile base used by Sam's "Bridging" unit in the game. Produced at 1/350 scale with a total length of approximately 22 cm, it meticulously recreates the rich exterior details and externally mounted heavy armaments. It also includes waterslide decals to reproduce various fuselage markings.

The "crane arm" on the ship's upper hull can optionally be equipped with "railgun" parts. The Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) can also be assembled to represent either Gatling gun or missile specifications. The cabinets on both sides at the rear can rotate in multiple directions via movable axes. Furthermore, the dedicated display stand will come pre-printed with the ship's name design.
