Bandai Namco's Gashapon brand has announced that the gashapon product "GUNDAM × MIKU Anniversary special project. MS Plush Suit Figure Collection", stemming from the "Gundam 45th Anniversary x Hatsune Miku" collaboration project, will be released in July 2025.
The "Gundam 45th Anniversary x Hatsune Miku" collaboration project, first announced in October 2024, will see the release of numerous model toys and merchandise this year, featuring collaborations between the Gundam IP and Hatsune Miku. Furthermore, it will extend its collaboration with Bandai Namco's "Taiko no Tatsujin" and "Gundam EXVS. Series." The official announcement today also revealed the collaborative song "Idol Senshi / アイドル戦士 (feat. Hatsune Miku)," which remixes classic Gundam theme songs from various eras and incorporates numerous Gundam references.
The collaboration project has also invited multiple illustrators to participate, creating various Hatsune Miku illustrations that blend with famous mobile suits from the "Gundam" series. Among these are the "MS Plush Suit" illustrations created by illustrators such as Teshima Nari, depicting Hatsune Miku in adorable plush suits of well-known Zeon mobile suits like Zaku and Z'Gok, with mobile suit structures or armaments integrated with Miku's iconic twin-tails and leeks.
