American toy brand SUPER7, dedicated to releasing various pop culture-themed toys, under its 3.75-inch Toho Kaiju-themed action figure series "TOHO ReAction," previously unveiled the eighth wave of carded figures. Yesterday, it was announced on the official Godzilla Store website that the eighth wave of blind boxes, themed after the movie "Godzilla-1.0," would be exclusively released at the well-known American supermarket chain Target!
"Godzilla-1.0," released in 2023, is a Godzilla film commemorating Godzilla's 70th anniversary. The story returns to a post-World War II Japan setting, recreating the destruction wrought by this nuclear behemoth on the human world and depicting how people in the post-war era confront the colossal disaster that strikes again.
Unlike the previous 8th wave of carded figures, this 8th wave of blind boxes is entirely themed around "Godzilla-1.0," offering seven different sculpts of Minus One Godzilla. Currently, in addition to the carded figure versions, it also includes an open-mouth version, a train-biting version, a translucent blue dorsal fin sculpt preparing to unleash its atomic breath, an atomic breath release sculpt with effect parts, and two secret chase variants! The editor particularly wants this train-biting sculpt that recreates a classic scene; at the 3.75-inch scale, it's truly both cool and adorable!
