World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys has once again unveiled a new product based on the film "Iron Man 2" – the "Mark IV (Fractal Armor)" 1/6th scale collectible figure. With a suggested retail price of HKD 2,680 and a global limited edition of 3,000 sets, it will be available for pre-order through designated channels, with an estimated release in Q2-Q3 2025!
The "Mark IV" appeared in the film "Iron Man 2," serving as the Iron Man suit Tony wore when he jumped from a plane and landed at the event in the opening scene. Based on the Mark III, it features slight modifications, boasting a more streamlined, simpler, and lighter design than its predecessor, leading to a significant increase in flight speed. It also served as the prototype for the later Mark VI. Furthermore, according to Tony's statements and personal demonstration, the Mark IV is capable of filtering urine into potable water.
This Fractal Armor is a reimagining based on the Mark IV suit's design. Standing approximately 32.5 cm tall, the figure boasts 30 points of articulation. It reinterprets the Mark IV's streamlined silhouette through geometric cuts and is finished with an exquisite electroplated iridescent coating, allowing the armor's sculpted lines to shimmer with dazzling, multi-colored light under illumination! The helmet, chest, arc reactor, and palms still feature LED light-up functions, and some armor parts are detachable to reveal the internal mechanical structures, offering various display options! This luster is truly super cool, even creating the illusion that it's a flat surface at times!
