To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the broadcast of "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing", Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE has announced the latest commemorative product, the "ALPHAOMEGA Heero Yuy & Relena Peacecraft 30th Anniversary Repaint Version", scheduled for release in October 2025.
This product was originally a commemorative item released in 2016 by two major Japanese model manufacturers, MEGAHOUSE and ALTER, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing". The overall scene is based on the iconic moment from the anime's OP2, where Heero and Relena stand back-to-back in ruins. The figures are sculpted in 1/8 scale, faithfully recreating their cool poses.
Whether it's Relena's white military uniform or Heero's dark blue military uniform draped over him, intricate sculpting and painting techniques are used to depict details such as embroidery and metallic parts. Heero can even remove his military jacket to reveal his signature green vest. Based on the official sample images, the overall color application shows subtle differences compared to the version from ten years ago, with higher saturation. However, the final production version will determine the ultimate appearance.
