Reports surfaced earlier this month that director David Fincher is set to helm a sequel to "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," with Brad Pitt confirmed to return as the lead and the script penned by original director Quentin Tarantino. The news reportedly stunned fans, who found the prospect almost too good to be true.

However, the project is indeed moving forward, with Netflix reportedly investing a hefty $200 million and aiming for a July production start. The biggest hurdle now, though, is Leonardo DiCaprio's continued reluctance to sign on for the follow-up.

According to film reporter Jeff Sneider, who first broke the news on his blog "The InSneider" earlier this month, DiCaprio's hesitation stems from his character's significantly reduced screen time, with Pitt's character taking center stage. Sneider indicated that DiCaprio seemed disinclined to return for what would essentially be a brief appearance. Despite the limited screen time, Sneider claimed that DiCaprio's role is crucial, causing concern among Pitt, Fincher, and Netflix over the actor's indecision.

On a recent episode of "The Hot Mic" on YouTube, Sneider further elaborated, stating that Netflix has now offered DiCaprio $3 million for just one day of filming. However, Sneider suggested that DiCaprio remains unsatisfied with this figure, and he and his team might be waiting for Netflix to increase the offer to $4 million before agreeing.
