CASTEM (キャステム), a Japanese metal industry company renowned for its precision casting, has a knack for rolling out fun and stylish products. They've previously delighted fans with items like a Godzilla foot-shaped hammer and One Piece Zoro's "Tiger Hunt" & "Extreme Tiger Hunt" stainless steel chopstick rests, both of which were huge hits.
Now, they're back with the fourth installment in their Pokémon Poké Ball series: an "Ultra Ball" themed bug cage! Perfect for trainers of all ages, this cage lets you experience the thrill of real-life bug catching. Priced at 1,595 JPY, it's currently available for order on the official IRON FACTORY online store.
CASTEM previously released bug cages modeled after the standard Poké Ball, Master Ball, and Ultra Ball. For this fourth release, they're once again featuring the "Ultra Ball" design, measuring approximately 17 cm, making it easy to house your captured insects.
With its iconic design and a convenient shoulder strap, you can channel your inner bug-catching pro from Pokémon Gold and Silver and head out into the wild for some serious critter collecting!
It's not just a pretty face; this bug cage is fully functional! The main body can be split open, and the dome top also opens. Plus, the ball itself is designed as a cage, perfect for housing your insect friends. Weighing in at just 190g, it's light enough for kids to easily carry and use.
▼ The Ultra Ball is typically the most expensive capture ball you can buy in the main Pokémon games. Interestingly, there was a past online debate about whether it's rude to send out a Pokémon caught with an Ultra Ball during battle.
For those who've collected the previous versions, this fourth installment is a must-have to complete the set, right? We wonder what other Poké Ball designs they'll drop next!
