Scarlett Johansson is having a busy year with multiple projects. Her directorial debut, "Eleanor the Great," has been making the festival rounds, and she's set to star in the upcoming sequel "Jurassic World: Rebirth." Adding to her packed schedule, the heartwarming comedy "My Mother's Wedding" is slated for an August release.
The film marks the directorial and starring debut of veteran British actress Kristin Scott Thomas, who co-wrote the screenplay with her husband, journalist John Micklethwait. While the movie premiered globally at the Toronto International Film Festival two years ago, it's only now scheduled for an August 8 theatrical release in North America. This morning, its first trailer and promotional poster (pictured below) were unveiled.

In addition to Johansson and Thomas, the cast includes Sienna Miller, Roger Ashton-Griffiths, James Fleet, Freida Pinto, and Cannes Best Actress Emily Beecham. The film follows three sisters who return to their childhood home to attend their twice-widowed mother's third wedding. The reunion forces the women to confront their pasts and navigate the changes ahead.
