World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys recently unveiled a new limited-edition Iron Man themed product – the "Iron Man Mark III (Stealth Mode Version) 2.0" 1/6th scale collectible action figure. The suggested retail price is HKD 2,680, with an estimated shipping date of August 2025!
Iron Man's stealth armor first appeared in Issue #152 of "The Invincible Iron Man," released in August 1981. It was Tony's seventh Iron Man suit, developed to evade weapon detection based on his experience of being detected while approaching the Roxxon space station. The first version, focused solely on stealth, had limited weaponry and almost no defensive capabilities, but its abilities were gradually improved and balanced in subsequent iterations.
This "Iron Man Mark III (Stealth Mode Version) 2.0" once again uses the popular Mark III as its base, painted to represent the stealth armor. The armor is meticulously crafted from alloy material, featuring a metallic two-tone blue chrome finish, giving the armor surface a smooth and reflective visual effect, distinct from the version from 10 years ago. The overall quality has been significantly upgraded! The helmet, eyes, palms, chest arc reactor, and back of the calves feature LED light-up functions. The flaps on the back and legs are fully deployable. It also comes with interchangeable parts such as shoulder missile launchers, interchangeable forearm armor, and multiple light-up hand sculpts, allowing for dynamic battle poses with its 30 points of articulation throughout the body! The base features a metallic blue and red color scheme and also includes an LED light-up function, elevating the display quality even further!
