To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the classic popular anime "Shugo Chara!", Bandai Spirits' "Special Memorize" series, which recreates various props from childhood anime, has not only unveiled the new themed product "Dumpty Key" but will also re-release the popular "Humpty Lock" (ハンプティ・ロック), originally launched in 2024. The suggested retail price is 5,500 JPY, with an estimated release in February 2026!
"Shugo Chara!" is a shojo manga series penned by the manga artist duo PEACH-PIT, which was adapted into a TV anime by SATELIGHT in 2007. The story follows the protagonist Amu and the "Guardians," an organization of students with "Guardian Characters" at Seiyo Academy, as they search for the magical "Embryo" egg that can grant any dream and wish. Simultaneously, they resolve various incidents caused by "X Eggs" sent by the evil organization "EASTER," who are also searching for the Embryo, to corrupt people's hearts.
This Special Memorize Humpty Lock faithfully recreates Amu's transformation item from the series in a 1:1 scale. It features luxurious gold plating to capture the Humpty Lock's texture. Built-in are the transformation sound effects for Amu and her four Guardian Characters—Ran, Miki, Su, and Dia—as they transform into Amulet Heart, Amulet Spade, Amulet Clover, and Amulet Diamond, respectively. The Humpty Lock will also light up in sync with each transformation melody. Collectors can combine this with the built-in classic line "My Heart, Unlock!" spoken by Amu, and the "Character Change!" lines shouted with her Guardian Characters, to truly experience the feeling of a Character Change!
