The popular action figure series 'S.H.Figuarts', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced the latest product from 'Kamen Rider THE NEXT', the 'Cyclone 2 (Kamen Rider THE NEXT)', scheduled for release in February 2026.
Between 2005 and 2007, Toei released two films, 'Kamen Rider THE FIRST' and 'Kamen Rider THE NEXT', to carry on the story of the original 'Kamen Rider', which was immensely popular nearly 35 years prior. This series was not a mere remake of the 'Kamen Rider' televised back then, but rather an adaptation of the manga created by Shotaro Ishinomori, depicting the story of Takeshi Hongo and Hayato Ichimonji battling the Shocker organization, and their subsequent encounter with Shiro Kazami (V3), all in a mysterious and eerie style true to the original work.
This release features the motorcycle 'Cyclone 2', ridden by Kamen Rider 2 / Hayato Ichimonji in the series. Its design meticulously recreates the larger size compared to 'Cyclone 1' and the cool, streamlined bodywork. Realistic mechanical structures such as the wheel rims, suspension, chain, and exhaust pipes are precisely crafted. Transparent parts are used for multiple areas like the windscreen and headlights, and various metallic colors, including metallic red, are applied to reproduce the texture of the body paint, exhaust pipes, and engine.
The vehicle also boasts multiple movable mechanisms to enhance playability, such as movable handlebars, deployable kickstands, and a retractable mechanism for the rear suspension system. Accessories include two types of interchangeable riding-specific hands for Kamen Rider 2: 'handlebar gripping pose' and 'index and middle fingers pressing brake pose'. Additionally, a bonus part, a 'handheld mask', is included to be used with the main figure to recreate the scene where Hayato Ichimonji removes his helmet.
