Following the release of "Godzilla (2023)" from Godzilla Minus One in its sub-series "MOVIE MONSTER YAKUDO," Bandai Spirits, a Japanese toy company that issues the monster-themed soft vinyl toy series "MOVIE MONSTER" featuring numerous classic characters, announced today (28th) a new color variation, "Godzilla (2023) Heat Ray Radiation Color ver.", which is now available for pre-order on PREMIUM BANDAI! Shipping is scheduled to begin in January 2026, with a suggested retail price of 4,400 JPY (tax included).
Compared to the regular "MOVIE MONSTER" series, which primarily showcases the charm of monster designs in static standing poses, "MOVIE MONSTER YAKUDO," as its name suggests (YAKUDO means "dynamic" or "action"), focuses more on dynamic poses, allowing collectors to relive the powerful and vivid scenes from the movie through the toy!
This time, the Godzilla (2023) soft vinyl model, reappearing in the Heat Ray Radiation Color ver., maintains essentially the same sculpt as its predecessor, but its dorsal fins and tail utilize transparent materials and metallic paint to powerfully depict the moment before it unleashes its heat ray! The blue paint inside its mouth also emits a captivating metallic sheen. Oh, it's just too beautiful and cool!
