They've just announced a new baseball jacket, a direct replica of the one worn by Shinji Ikari in a popular illustration by artist Mai Yoneyama, created for RADIO EVA's third anniversary. Now you can rock the exact same look as Shinji! Priced at 77,000 JPY, it's currently available for pre-order on the EVA STORE online shop.
That iconic illustration by Mai Yoneyama, celebrating RADIO EVA's third anniversary, featured the five main characters decked out in brand apparel, set against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower in the fashion capital of France.
This jacket's theme is "EVA Unit-01," with the front and sleeves packed with embroidered EVA elements and badges, subtly incorporating character and mecha details throughout. The main body is crafted from a high-percentage wool blend, while the sleeves are made from soft sheepskin, giving it a premium, statement-making texture.
The left chest features embroidered English text representing "Multipurpose Humanoid Decisive Weapon, Artificial Human," with two Spears of Longinus crossed behind it.
The "E" on the right chest stands for Evangelion, and the "01" in the upper right corner is Unit-01's designation.
The left arm boldly features "TEST TYPE" embroidered in large lettering, symbolizing its prototype status.
The jacket also boasts thick padding on the inside, making it perfect for autumn and winter.
But the real showstopper is the back – a dark gray embroidery depicting "Unit-01 shrouded in darkness." It's a subtle yet powerfully imposing design that truly stands out.
