The 90s classic "Home Alone" franchise has spawned five sequels to date, but only the second installment, "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York," continued to feature Macaulay Culkin as the iconic Kevin McCallister. The other four sequels introduced different child stars in the lead roles. Now 45, Culkin has already envisioned what a potential return to the franchise might look like.

Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the original film's release this year, Culkin recently hosted a touring screening event titled "A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin." During these events, he joined fans to re-experience the first film on the big screen and participated in live Q&A sessions. It was during one of these Q&As that Culkin stated, "I'm not entirely against returning to the role, but the script would have to be good."
Culkin went on to share his concept for a new sequel: "I had an idea where I'm either a widower or divorced, raising a child on my own. I'm very busy with work and don't have much time for my kid, so the kid is a bit mad at me. Then I get locked out of the house. He won't let me in... and he's set up traps for me to fall into. The whole house, in a way, symbolizes our father-son relationship, and I have to win my son's heart back. That's the most concise story proposal I could come up with. I'm not entirely against the idea; it's a pretty ideal direction."
