Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY's assembly model kit series, "MODEROID", will release assembly model kits of the light armored vehicle "Armor Cycle" (アーマーサイクル) used by the protagonists in the classic 80s robot anime series "Genesis Climber MOSPEADA" (機甲創世記モスピーダ) in September 2026. This release will feature two versions: "VR-052T Ray's Exclusive Machine" and "VR-052F Stick's Machine", both priced at 8,500 JPY each.
Genesis Climber MOSPEADA is a robot anime series originally created by Tatsunoko Production, broadcast on Fuji TV in Japan in October 1983, comprising 25 episodes. In Taiwan, it was introduced by CTV in 1986 and aired under the name "Space War God". Later, this work, along with The Super Dimension Fortress Macross and The Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, was sold to the American company "Harmony Gold" and re-edited into an 85-episode anime series titled "Robotech".

The story describes how Earth was invaded by the alien lifeform "Inbit" (インビット) in 2050 AD, leading humanity to relocate to a Martian colony. In 2080, humanity's counterattack failed. Three years later, new weapons were developed for another attempt. The protagonist, "Stick Bernard" (スティック·バーナード, old translation: Bei Jia Hua), was one of the participants in this operation. His team was ambushed and annihilated by the enemy, with only he surviving and landing on Earth. The story begins with the protagonist carrying this mission.
In the original work, the Mars base developed the "Armor Cycle" (アーマーサイクル), an equipment that can transform into a motorcycle, to provide individual soldiers with combat firepower against enemies. Normally stored in a folded mode, it can transform into a motorcycle for transportation. Members wearing "Riding Suits" (ライディング·スーツ) can combine with the equipment via 9 connection points, forming a wearable, powerful armor that offers not only firepower but also aerial maneuverability.
This "VR-052T" assembly model kit from MODEROID is, in the original work, piloted by "Ray" (レイ, American name: Rand), making it his exclusive machine. Although it's a new model, it's still a standard type, not a commander's model. The overall height is approximately 16 cm when fully armored, with articulated joints throughout, and it comes with multiple sets of interchangeable hand parts. It fully recreates the transformation, combination, and the appearance of the character wearing the Riding Suit from the original work. Included weapon accessories are a magazine-fed 40mm beam machine gun, a hand laser gun, and a shield.
