Four years after concluding her run as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Scarlett Johansson is reportedly poised to join another major superhero franchise. Multiple foreign media outlets disclosed earlier today that Johansson is in negotiations for a role in the upcoming "The Batman - Part 2." While most reports have not specified the character, Nexus Point News offered a slightly more concrete detail: Bruce Wayne's new love interest.

Intriguingly, Variety magazine simultaneously revealed that Zoë Kravitz, who portrayed Catwoman in the first installment, will not return for the sequel. This has led some to speculate that Johansson might be stepping in to replace Kravitz. However, Variety only stated that Kravitz would not be in the second film, not that she was permanently out of the franchise. This suggests her absence is likely due to story reasons for the sequel, with Johansson potentially in talks for a distinct role.

Should the deal materialize, "The Batman - Part 2" would mark Johansson's third major franchise sequel in recent years. She previously took on a leading role in the upcoming "Jurassic World: Rebirth," and reports also surfaced last month that she was tapped to lead a new "The Exorcist" installment, signaling her active engagement across major intellectual properties.
