The Pokémon PLAMO series of plastic model kits, produced by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, is set to release its latest product, "Pokémon PLAMO Collection 61 Select Series Mega Rayquaza," on December 20, 2025. Official new information, including product box art design and actual sample images, has been released just before its launch.

Rayquaza is a Legendary Pokémon that appeared in the Hoenn region and is also the cover legendary Pokémon for Pokémon Emerald. Rayquaza possesses destructive power and strong territoriality, normally residing in the ozone layer, higher than the clouds. It uses a special organ within its body to absorb energy from meteorites as food. In very rare circumstances, Rayquaza can use the meteorite energy within its body to Mega Evolve without a Mega Stone, gaining even greater power.

The "Pokémon PLAMO Collection 61 Select Series Mega Rayquaza" is constructed with molded parts in colors such as green, black, yellow, white, and clear red. Once completed, it boasts a total length of over 30 cm, making it the largest kit in the series' history. The overall design faithfully recreates the image from the official illustrations, featuring a head sculpt resembling large mandibles, gem-like organs adorning its body, and long tendrils extending from its head and tail. Its mouth, both arms, and each segment of its body are equipped with articulated joints, allowing for dynamic flying poses when combined with the cloud-shaped display base.
