Japanese collectible brand LOOP' has unveiled new merchandise on the GOOD SMILE official website based on the popular anime "Dungeon Meshi" – "Walking Mushroom" soft vinyl figures. They come in two colors, red and blue, with a suggested retail price of 3,960 JPY each, and are scheduled for release in April 2026!
"Dungeon Meshi" is an original work by manga artist Ryoko Kui, adapted into a TV anime by TRIGGER. The story follows protagonist Laios and his party after they are wiped out in the dungeon's lower levels. To rescue his sister, who was swallowed by a red dragon, and to reduce travel costs, they hunt monsters in the dungeon, turning them into delicious meals as they venture deeper.
The "Walking Mushroom" (Aruki Dake) was the first monster Laios's party decided to have for lunch, cooked into a large scorpion and walking mushroom hotpot. According to Senshi, the legs are quite delicious! These Walking Mushroom soft vinyl figures are based on their distinctive appearance in the show, with LOOP's unique design added. They are available in two versions: the red cap seen in the anime and a special blue cap. The soft vinyl material's unique pliable texture perfectly captures the mushroom's rounded shape, making them look incredibly appetizing. From the product images, the legs appear to have rotatable joints, allowing them to be displayed sitting on the edge of a bookshelf. Standing approximately 15 cm tall, they are adorable no matter how they are displayed!
