Japanese high-quality collectible statue brand Prime 1 Studio showcased a prototype of its latest product, the "ULTIMATE PREMIUM MASTERLINE Empress 1/4 Scale Statue," from the anime BLACK★★ROCK SHOOTER DAWN FALL, at its recent new product announcement event, "NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE XVI: REALMS BEYOND TIME." Pre-orders are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
Airing in April 2022, BLACK★★ROCK SHOOTER DAWN FALL is a completely new anime series based on the "BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER" characters drawn by Japanese illustrator huke, but with a revamped setting that overturns previous derivative works. The story describes how in 2062 AD, humanity's large-scale labor automation project completely failed, and the core artificial intelligence of the project, "Artemis," declared war on humanity, leaving Earth in ruins for 20 years. One day, a girl with powerful combat abilities known as "Empress," suffering from amnesia, awakens in an underground research facility. Her mission is to quickly destroy the orbital elevator connecting Earth and the Moon to prevent the mechanical army from attacking, becoming humanity's last hope.
The "ULTIMATE PREMIUM MASTERLINE Empress 1/4 Scale Statue" is crafted in a powerful size, capturing Empress in a dynamic and cool shooting pose after deploying her "Coilgun." The Empress's main body, unlike the more vibrant costume design in the anime, follows huke's illustration style, presenting a strong contrast between her jet-black attire and fair skin, along with delicate and elegant body musculature. Her extremely dynamic hair parts are made of transparent material, with the tips subtly tinted transparent purple to recreate the brushstrokes seen in huke's illustrations.
The statue also extensively uses transparent parts to represent her left eye and the blue flames entwining her body, as well as the "Empress Overdrive Lightning Mode" wings generated on her back after using the "Accelerator Key." Her right hand's extremely massive "Coilgun" meticulously depicts its intricate mechanical structure, with the muzzle painted to simulate a blue glow. In addition to creating numerous cubic structures with concentric circular patterns on the base to enhance the scene's dynamism, a light purple moon part can also be attached behind Empress, recreating the anime visual scene drawn by huke.
