While Tom Hardy's "Venom" trilogy introduced audiences to numerous symbiote characters beyond the titular anti-hero, that series has now concluded with "Venom: The Last Dance." With Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man Universe" (SSU), to which the "Venom" films belong, currently undergoing a reorganization and hiatus, the immediate future for more symbiote appearances within that particular cinematic universe appears dim.

However, the SSU's pause doesn't preclude symbiotes from appearing in other cinematic realms. According to renowned entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman, who shared insights on his paid X (formerly Twitter) account, Marvel Studios is reportedly planning a "new interpretation" of symbiotes for Tom Holland's upcoming "Spider-Man" trilogy (films four, five, and six). This suggests Marvel aims to establish its own distinct lore for the parasitic aliens within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, rather than adopting the continuity from Sony's films.
Furthermore, beyond a potential soft reboot for the symbiotes, Richtman also noted that a new "Ghost Rider" project is already in development. The iconic character, who hasn't received a solo adaptation in some time, is reportedly slated for a story set after the monumental events of "Avengers 6: Secret Wars."
