The popular die-cast action figure series 『METAL BUILD』, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has officially announced detailed information for the previously teased new product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children", the 「Hi-ν Gundam [METAL BUILD EXPO]」. This product is a commemorative item for the 『METAL BUILD EXPO』 exhibition, which will be held from March 27 to July 6, 2026, and is scheduled for release in March 2026.

The RX-93-ν2 Hi-ν Gundam is Amuro Ray's dedicated mobile suit that appeared in the novel version of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children". Its in-story status is equivalent to the RX-93 ν Gundam from the anime version. Compared to the ν Gundam, which was completed in a rush, this unit underwent thorough maintenance and testing, thus achieving more complete performance. Its exterior is designed with blue and white colors, and its silhouette is more robust. The back-mounted Fin Funnels are symmetrically fixed to the wing thrusters and possess a charging function. It can also utilize the "Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher," an ultra-large, high-firepower beam weapon powered by the battleship "Ra Cailum."

The main body of the 「METAL BUILD Hi-ν Gundam [METAL BUILD EXPO]」 is based on the "METAL BUILD Hi-ν Gundam" released in 2022. Compared to the 2022 release, which adopted the novel version's purple and white color scheme, this product features a revamped overall paint scheme to reproduce the official blue and white color scheme. The markings printed on various parts of the fuselage have also been subtly adjusted in color and position.

The design retains the novel version's aesthetic by mechanical designer Yutaka Izubuchi from the previous release, interpreted with the METAL BUILD series' style. It features a broad body proportion, thick armor parts, and richly detailed surface sculpting, showcasing armor seams, attitude control thrusters, and other elements. The internal frame is constructed with numerous alloy parts, and techniques like electroplating are used to achieve even higher-density detail. Furthermore, some armor parts feature original deployment gimmicks, with multiple areas such as the rear calf armor, arm armor, front skirt armor, chest armor, and shoulder armor capable of sliding open to reveal the internal mechanical structure.

Armaments include three types of "Beam Saber" effects and hilts, a "Beam Rifle" with a soft material strap, a "ν Hyper Bazooka" with a folding mechanism, a "Shield" that can deploy its internal muzzle, and a two-part detachable fuel tank thruster. It also reproduces the deployment gimmicks for the vulcan cannon hidden in the right arm and the beam saber hidden in the left arm. In addition to the original backpack that can suspend three "Fin Funnels" on each of the left and right sides, this product newly includes a hanger part identical to the RX-93 ν Gundam, which can replace the original backpack parts to recreate the appearance of six "Fin Funnels" suspended on the left side. Combined with the included display stand and clear supports, it can recreate scenes of all Fin Funnels being launched.
