TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam MSV" for its robot-themed action figure series, "ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E.": the "MS-06RP High Mobility Zaku II Prototype," scheduled for release in July 2026.
The MS-06RP High Mobility Zaku II Prototype was one of two prototype units developed during the One Year War in Universal Century 0079 by the Principality of Zeon military to give the Zaku II greater mobility. Based on the Zaku II F-type, modifications included the addition of three auxiliary thrusters to each leg and a redesigned backpack featuring a high-thrust main thruster. After its completion, the unit was transferred to Granada Base, where it achieved excellent results during testing by Major Elliot Rem. The Zeon military then proceeded to develop the later "MS-06R High Mobility Zaku II."
The "ROBOT魂 High Mobility Zaku II Prototype ver. A.N.I.M.E." is also produced in the style of the official design sketches drawn by Kunio Okawara, recreating the transitional specifications between the standard Zaku II and the High Mobility Zaku II. Its overall articulation also inherits designs from previous Zaku series figures, featuring a mono-eye camera that can move left and right, a two-axis movable elbow joint, power pipes that rotate with knee joint movements, and other designs, allowing for dynamic battle poses.
Weapon accessories include a Heat Hawk (activated/deactivated), Zaku Machine Gun, Zaku Bazooka, and other weapons, as well as a total of 10 jet propulsion effect parts (straight and curved axes). These can be attached to the thrusters on the backpack and various parts of the legs, recreating cool propulsion and flight scenes.
