Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou)" series, which sculpts from the skeletal structure to give tokusatsu heroes their original cool appearance and natural articulation, has announced the latest product from the tokusatsu series "Ultraman Tiga," the "Ultraman Tiga Multi Type 30th Anniversary Edition," slated for release in September 2026. 
Ultraman Tiga is set as an ancient "Giant of Light" who protected Earth 30 million years ago. After defeating the Dark Demon God, his body turned into a stone statue, slumbering in a pyramid deep in the mountains. 30 million years later, he merged with GUTS member Daigo Madoka to once again fight against the Dark Evil God Gatanothor, who sought to destroy civilization. This work was the first to introduce the concept of form changes, allowing Tiga to switch between the Multi Type, which balances power and speed; the Sky Type, specialized in speed and technique; and the Power Type, specialized in strength and endurance.
The "S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Ultraman Tiga Multi Type 30th Anniversary Edition" is a special release commemorating the 30th anniversary of the "Ultraman Tiga" broadcast. Compared to previous versions, it includes a large number of new accessories and a "Ultraman 60th Anniversary & Ultraman Tiga 30th Anniversary Special Display Stand," primarily designed to allow Tiga to recreate various classic beam techniques from the series.
The Ultraman Tiga body itself was thoroughly supervised by Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department. The physique data of action actor Shunsuke Gondo, who wore the Tiga suit at the time, was digitized using full-body 3D scanning, and Minoru Narita, who created the original Tiga suit, was invited to oversee the product's prototype creation, perfectly recreating the on-screen appearance at an approximate height of 15 cm. Improvements have also been made to the articulation of the chest parts; the pectoral muscle parts on both sides, based on the color timer, now feature new movable divisions, allowing them to move towards the center of the chest. When the shoulder joint raises the arm, the position of the pectoral muscles can more closely resemble their appearance in the show.
The entire body also features precise articulation divisions and joint designs, with rich movable joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, knees, and feet. The torso, including the chest, abdomen, and hips, is made of soft plastic material, which significantly reduces interference between joints and expands the range of motion. The hip joints utilize a pull-out mechanism, allowing for dynamic poses such as high-speed aerial flight and mid-air kicks. The head and color timer use "light-gathering mechanism replacement parts" to reflect light and achieve a glowing effect.
The luxurious beam effect parts include "Zeperion Beam," "Composite Zeperion Beam," "Cell Change Beam," "Ultra Psychic," "Ultra Shield," "Tiga Slicer," "Hand Slash," "Timer Flash," "Ultra Fix," and "Blast Drop," allowing for the recreation of a wide array of battle scenes with the main figure. Additionally, the accessories also include the "GUTS Wing 1," the fighter jet used by the G.U.T.S defense team in the series, which can be displayed alongside Tiga.
