The "ROBOT魂" series of articulated robot figures, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from the animated film "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash", the "ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam/Penelope Funnel Missile Expansion Parts Set", scheduled for release in August 2026.
Funnel Missiles are psycho-communicative armaments mounted inside various armor sections of mobile suits such as the "RX-105 Ξ Gundam" and "RX-104FF Penelope" in the story. Due to radar-guided missiles being almost useless in a Minovsky particle-scattered environment, and the inability to use "Funnel Bits" in Earth's gravity, Funnel Missiles were developed to solve these problems. With the Newtype pilot's psycho-control abilities, Funnel Missiles can lock on, track, and bombard targets.
The "ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam/Penelope Funnel Missile Expansion Parts Set" includes a total of 12 sets of Funnel Missile bodies, launch trajectory effect parts, and a white molded dedicated stand. By attaching the effect parts to the stand via the pegs at their ends, they can be mounted on the separately sold "ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam/Penelope" display stand, allowing for the dynamic display of Funnel Missiles being launched.
