According to recent claims from entertainment insider MyTimeToShineHello, Maguire's Spider-Man and Jackman's Wolverine are reportedly set to die at the very beginning of "Doomsday." However, this doesn't rule out their future return to the MCU. Persistent rumors suggest both characters will have significant roles in "Avengers: Secret Wars," leaving open the possibility of their resurrection or a return as variants from alternate timelines.
Additionally, renowned entertainment reporter Daniel Richtman has indicated that Loki, also rumored to return, will have a very limited role. His appearance is expected to be akin to his brief cameos in "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame," serving as a minor character.
