First, I'd like to wish all my fellow forum members a Happy New Year for 2026. The first model I'm sharing this year is the MNQ-XH14A Mo Liqing (Heavenly Sword Star) from Motor Nuclear. Originally, this kit wasn't in my initial build plan for the year. The reason I built it is that the Bahamut forum moderator's spring banquet was held in the north again this year, and I was able to attend. Every year I participate, I contribute a prize for the moderators, and this year is no exception. After much deliberation, I decided to complete this kit before the banquet in March as a raffle prize for the attending moderators. I hope the lucky moderator who wins this will love it. Let me start by saying, just as the title implies, this is a desk-dominating display piece. Please be mentally prepared, because it is truly massive.
This is a super-poseable, alloy-frame model kit with a Chinese-style theme. It is based on the Four Generals of the Mo Family from the classic novel "Investiture of the Gods." The exterior features a primary blue color scheme, exuding a sense of heavy armor and boasting unique armaments like the Five-Direction Azure Cloud Sword.
The design theme belongs to the "Star Armor Soul General" series, where Motor Nuclear masterfully combines Eastern charm with mechanical design. The model's aesthetic is built around the imposing style of "wielding the Azure Cloud to slay the world's evils." For the head sculpt, two different designs are included for collectors to swap and display.
In addition to the main body, this Mo Liqing kit includes a variety of weapons and accessories. There's the colossal Five-Direction Azure Cloud Sword, the Five-Direction Five-Elements World-Breaker Cannon, and the Wind Vigor Sword. It also comes with multiple pairs of stylized hands and a dedicated display stand. Furthermore, there's a bonus weapon, the X03-Five-Direction Demon-Locking Cannon, which seems designed to combine with accessories from the next three upcoming figures.
This model kit is constructed from ABS, POM, and zinc alloy materials. The alloy frame provides exceptionally sturdy joints and a substantial sense of weight. Once assembled, the height to the shoulders is approximately 54 cm. The alloy frame is incredibly robust and tight, which, as a result, makes moving the joints particularly strenuous. At times, I even had to use needle-nose pliers to articulate them. I sincerely hope this can be improved in future releases of the series, because moving them is genuinely painful for the fingers!
Once the backpack and armaments are attached, there are no concerns about weight balance, such as the body leaning to one side. Thanks to the full alloy frame and its perfectly calculated weight distribution, it can stand very stably even when fully equipped and without the stand, let alone when posed holding its heavy weapons.
However, I strongly recommend that the moderator who wins this kit uses the stand for display. A simple standing pose can hardly do justice to the sheer imposing presence of this Mo Liqing.
The entire kit utilizes nearly 95% undergated parts, so a straight build without any painting can still achieve a very high degree of completion. I had originally planned to let the winner experience the assembly process themselves, but then I considered that they might not have the basic tools or experience, so I decided to build it for them. After assembly, I didn't handle it much; I only took a few static shots for the record without a full photoshoot. The full experience of posing and handling it is left for the lucky winner to discover. With that, here is a simple introduction. Looking ahead, I am most excited for the upcoming Motor Nuclear Lu Bu model kit.

▼After assembly, it is incredibly robust and tall, reaching a height of nearly 54cm from the soles of the feet to the top of the shoulders. The color scheme is primarily a blue-black tone with clear parts.
▼The face comes with two head sculpts. I chose the one with a more traditional Chinese style for the photos. All the clear parts have pre-painted parts underneath. The pre-painted gold is my favorite; it's not that cheap, dull gold, but a truly beautiful and brilliant shade.

▼The shoulder armor design is based on traditional Chinese pauldrons, using a spiked structure to create a flame-like shape that injects a different kind of technological feel into the overall design.
▼The thrusters on the shoulder armor can all be moved individually. The pre-painted parts visible beneath the clear pieces add to the high-tech aesthetic.
▼The arms use a pre-assembled, single-piece metal frame. The metal frame parts are already assembled; you just need to attach the armor pieces one by one.
▼The parts on the arms can be swapped out as needed. To mount the Five-Direction Demon-Locking Cannon on the arm, the original parts must be removed and replaced with alternate parts.
▼It doesn't have fully articulated hands, but it comes with multiple pairs of stylized hands for swapping.
▼The metal joints are tight, allowing it to bear its full weight stably without a stand, preventing any backward leaning or weak waist issues.

▼When the waist bends forward, the spinal armor moves in conjunction. The biomechanical structure design features layered armor.

▼The legs are full of style, with beautiful pre-painted colors. Applying panel lines to the white parts should add even more depth.
▼The leg armor is also constructed by stacking parts piece by piece. Personally, I feel the number of parts is just right; using too many would have lost that sense of dimension, becoming a blind layering of parts that lacks depth.

▼When fanned out, they can be posed in multiple directions. While they lack the flowing feel of actual ribbons, the expanded look adds a greater sense of technology.
▼What attracts me most about this Mo Liqing are the two soul rings on its back, officially named the Sky-Piercing Rings. Eight Wind Vigor Swords can be mounted on each of the Sky-Piercing Rings. Once installed, they can be displayed with the dedicated stand to recreate the official "Sky-Piercing Sword Formation" firing state.
That concludes this sharing and introduction. I didn't do much posing with it this time, as it's intended as a raffle prize for the moderators at the Bahamut spring banquet. Therefore, after assembly, I didn't attempt many dynamic poses for the photoshoot, just some static standing shots. I was afraid of accidentally breaking something and having to repair it, which would defeat the purpose of the gift. To me, giving away something that has been broken and repaired would feel like a flawed present. The actual experience of its articulation and power is left for the winning moderators to discover for themselves. I'll just keep the studio photos as a memento, a record that I once assembled Mo Liqing and enjoyed the process of building with that massive number of parts.
