PB Limited Gunpla 'RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam Deactive Mode' Rerelease!

Issued by 8202, the plastic model brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the 'RG (Real Grade)' Gunpla series, which incorporates exterior armor, internal frames, interlocking armor, and new technologies into 1/144 scale, has announced the rerelease of its latest product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED', the 'RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam Deactive Mode', scheduled for May 2026. This product will only be sold exclusively on BANDAI's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.

The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam is a new-generation Mobile Suit designed by the Z.A.F.T. military after acquiring the Earth Alliance's GAT-X series G-weapons, utilizing technologies such as beam weaponry and Phase Shift Armor. Equipped with a 'Neutron Jammer Canceller', it allows its nuclear engine to operate normally. The abundant energy not only extends its operating time but also enables it to simultaneously fire high-energy, high-firepower armaments such as the 'Xiphias' Railguns and 'Balaena' Plasma Beam Cannons. This single unit possesses superior capabilities for atmospheric re-entry and high-mobility aerial combat.

The 'RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam Deactive Mode' is based on a modified version of the previously released regular kit. It utilizes various shades of gray molded parts to represent the low-saturation state of the 'VPS Armor' when deactivated in the show. It also includes 'Realistic Decals' printed with original marking designs, allowing for the creation of glowing parts like the twin-eye cameras and sensors, metallic color accents for joints or the internal frame, and enhancing the overall armor detail density with markings.

Each armor part features the series' characteristic precise part separation, with rich detail sculpted at the 1/144 scale. The entire internal frame is constructed using integrated 'Advanced MS Joint' frame parts, combined with multiple armor interlocking mechanisms and multi-axis movable mechanisms for the back wings, allowing for dynamic combat poses. However, older RG products released before 2016 that utilized a full 'Advanced MS Joint' frame often had issues with low joint durability and parts easily detaching.

The armament includes handheld weapons such as the High-Energy Beam Rifle, Anti-Beam Shield, and Beam Sabers. The two 'Balaena' Plasma Beam Cannons stored in the wings and the two 'Xiphias' Railguns on the waist can all be rotated forward, recreating the impressive 'Full Burst Mode'.
