SQUARE ENIX Japan has announced the latest product in its new soft vinyl figure series, "Polygon Soft Vinyl Figure (ポリゴンソフビ)," based on their popular video game "FINAL FANTASY VII." The new item, "Tifa Lockhart," is scheduled for release in July 2026.
One of the heroines, Tifa Lockhart, is Cloud's childhood friend. They grew up together in the small village of "Nibelheim," but after a certain incident, she came to live in the Sector 7 Slums. Tifa always gives the impression of being gentle, cheerful, and caring. She also joined the anti-Shinra organization "Avalanche" as an accountant and is the popular signature waitress at the "Seventh Heaven" bar, their secret base, highly admired for her cute appearance and attractive figure. However, Tifa is surprisingly fierce in combat, a physical fighter skilled in various hand-to-hand martial arts.
The "Polygon Soft Vinyl Figure Tifa Lockhart" is based on her appearance in the original 1997 PlayStation version of "FINAL FANTASY VII." Standing approximately 14 cm tall, it faithfully recreates the low-polygon model from the game, which was a result of technical limitations at the time. Crafted from soft vinyl, it captures her well-proportioned figure with its angular lines. Simple horizontal articulation joints are included in the arms and waist, evoking the excitement of playing this classic masterpiece for the very first time.
