American toy brand NECA announced a new Chucky figure early this morning (21st). It is the "Chucky" action figure from the classic 1990 horror film "Child's Play 2"! Expected to ship in Q2 2026, with a suggested retail price of US$37.99.
In the story of 1988's "Child's Play," the psychopathic serial killer "Charles Lee Ray," nicknamed Chucky, before being cornered and shot dead by police while hiding in a toy store, used a voodoo spell to transfer his evil soul into a popular toy doll called "Good Guys," thus giving birth to a terrifying toy that appeared cute and harmless but was actually a murderous maniac.
In "Child's Play 2," the sequel to "Child's Play," Chucky continued his killing spree and his plan to possess the body of the young boy "Andy"; whether it was Chucky screaming while tearing off his own right hand, or the factory filled with piles of Good Guys dolls, these scenes surely left a deep impression on toy enthusiasts, and the final scene where his mouth was stuffed with an inflating air hose, causing him to swell and explode, is truly iconic!
This Chucky action figure released by NECA boasts a rich array of accessories! Including a total of five interchangeable head sculpts, interchangeable hands, a forearm with a knife inserted, a ruler, an air pump, a knife, a Good Guy brand shovel, as well as giant scissors and a jack-in-the-box designed based on the movie poster! Whether you want to fully recreate the movie poster, have Chucky chase your other toys, or let him pretend to be a harmless Good Guys doll, it's all perfectly possible. The packaging also features the "Child's Play 2" movie poster as its theme and presents NECA's characteristic window box format.
