LEGO, the Danish toy company, recently unveiled an exciting new addition to its Technic series: the 42236 "Custom Garage Ford Mustang GT Car"! This highly anticipated set is slated for release on August 1, 2026, with a suggested retail price of US$99.99.
Comprising 973 pieces, the "standard design" brick-built model measures approximately 9 cm tall and 27 cm long. Official images showcase at least two distinct looks: a vibrant standard design featuring a primary palette of blue, pink, and purple, and another version accented with a significant amount of yellow. Of course, builders are encouraged to unleash their creativity and customize their ride with a wide array of interchangeable parts. Everything from the hood, front spoiler, doors, roof panels, and wheels, all the way to the rear spoiler, can be swapped out to create a truly unique design. This stylish Ford Mustang also incorporates the Technic series' signature front-wheel steering function, driven by a roof-mounted gear, and features an opening hood to reveal a detailed V8 piston engine!
