Good Smile Company (GSC) is expanding its popular Nendoroid Basic line, designed for "more affordable, faster" releases by simplifying face plates and accessories, with a new figure from the hit anime "The Apothecary Diaries"—Maomao! Priced at 3,900 JPY, this Nendoroid Basic Maomao will be available as a limited release at Good Smile Fes 2026, held from June 6-7, 2026, at Bellesalle Akihabara in Tokyo, and August 22-23 at Crystal Hall in Umeda, Osaka. Additionally, limited pre-orders will open simultaneously on the GSC official website starting June 6 at 10:00 AM JST!
"The Apothecary Diaries" is a popular light novel series penned by Japanese author Natsu Hyuuga, which was adapted into a TV anime in 2023 by TOHO animation STUDIO and OLM. The story follows Maomao, a young woman from the pleasure district with a sharp mind for deduction and extensive knowledge of pharmacology, who finds herself abducted and forced to work as a low-ranking servant in the imperial harem. Amidst the palace's intricate power struggles, she gradually builds her influence.
This Nendoroid Basic Maomao stands approximately 10 cm tall and reuses the head sculpt from the previously released standard Nendoroid version. It faithfully recreates Maomao's iconic look from the series in an adorable chibi proportion, meticulously detailing her green top and magenta long skirt. Her hair is rendered in a more subdued dark green. The figure comes with a charming smiling expression, perfectly complementing her super cute pose with hands tucked into her sleeves!
