Bandai Candy is expanding its popular Kamen Rider Shokugan line, SO-DO CHRONICLE, with a new release from the "Kamen Rider Agito" 25th anniversary movie, "Kamen Rider Agito: Project G1"! The latest reveal is the "Kamen Rider G7 & Kamen Rider G3-X Set," scheduled for release in November 2026.
The 'G' Series Special Reinforced Armor Suits, which first appeared in "Kamen Rider Agito," were developed as a joint venture between private enterprise and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to combat Unidentified Lifeforms. In 2001, the brilliant mechanical engineer Dr. Sumiko Ozawa designed the "Kamen Rider G3," which achieved outstanding results against the Unknown and laid the foundation for the future of the 'G' series.
The original wearer of the G3 suit was Officer Makoto Hikawa, a man with a strong sense of responsibility and a deep respect for life. While the initial G3 suit struggled with insufficient power, the advent of the completed "Kamen Rider G3-X" model brought enhanced armor, upgraded weaponry, and an AI-assisted system to the fight against the Unknown. Now, 25 years later, the "Kamen Rider G7" introduced in "Project G1" represents a massive evolution. The entire armor system features a lightweight design and an automatic deployment function. For close combat, it wields the "GZ-10 Ouroboros" longsword for devastating slashes. The suit is also equipped with 15 multi-functional drones across its body, capable of firing restraining cables, powerful energy beams, and even repairing the sword's blade.
The "SO-DO CHRONICLE Kamen Rider G7 & Kamen Rider G3-X Set" includes both of Hikawa Makoto's iconic armor suits along with their corresponding arsenals. The G3-X figure utilizes numerous newly sculpted parts to accurately reproduce its unique head, chest, and other details that differ from the original G3. Despite its compact 10cm height, the figure boasts impressive articulation, allowing for dynamic action poses with its included "GM-01 Scorpion" automatic pistol, the transforming "GX-05 Cerberus" Gatling gun, and the "Guard Acceler" electromagnetic baton.
Meanwhile, the G7 figure is built from an entirely new sculpt. However, its complex color scheme will require a fair number of stickers to detail the silver armor and drones. Accessories include the "GZ-10 Ouroboros" longsword in both its stored and deployed forms. The stored hilt can be mounted on the figure's left thigh.
