Godzilla (1993) Stomps Back into Bandai's Movie Monster Series with a Fierce New Sculpt!

Bandai Japan has just announced the latest addition to its popular Movie Monster Series of tokusatsu and kaiju vinyl figures: the Godzilla (1993) from the classic film "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II," slated for a September 2026 release.

This version of Godzilla, last seen being sealed away by Mothra at the end of "Godzilla vs. Mothra," is reawakened after absorbing improperly disposed nuclear waste. Drawn to an egg of his own species on Adonoa Island, he clashes with its guardian, the mutated Pteranodon Rodan. When a research team takes the egg, Godzilla pursues them to Japan, making landfall in Yokkaichi to reclaim the newly hatched Baby Godzilla. Standing in his way is G-Force, a special U.N. task force, and their ultimate weapon: Mechagodzilla, built to destroy Godzilla once and for all.

The Movie Monster Series Godzilla (1993) stands approximately 16.5 cm tall. While based on a previous release, this version features significant upgrades with all-new sculpted parts. The head is an entirely new sculpt, perfectly capturing Godzilla's fierce, closed-mouth expression from the film. His eyes are given extra depth with a two-tone brown paint application for the pupils, making them look more intense. The lower body has also been retooled, with the hips and leg joints adjusted for a more accurate stance, complete with faithfully recreated skin folds and texturing.
