Tamashii Nations has just unveiled the latest addition to its popular METAL BUILD die-cast figure line: the "HWS Option Set for Hi-ν Gundam"! Straight from the universe of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children," this expansion pack is slated for a November 2026 release.

The HWS (Heavy Weapon System) was originally conceived by legendary designer Yutaka Izubuchi as an upgrade for the RX-93 ν Gundam in the "CCA-MSV" design series and didn't exist in the novel's continuity for the RX-93-ν2 Hi-ν Gundam. However, with the release of the "MG Hi-ν Gundam Ver.Ka" Gunpla kit in 2014, Bandai, with Izubuchi's permission, commissioned Hajime Katoki to design a dedicated HWS for the Hi-ν Gundam. While sharing a similar silhouette with the ν Gundam's version, this new design packed in even more firepower and functionality.

This "METAL BUILD HWS Option Set for Hi-ν Gundam" builds upon that MG Ver.Ka design, infusing it with the signature METAL BUILD aesthetic. Expect an incredible level of mechanical detail, a sophisticated multi-tone paint application, and sharp markings. Select components are crafted from die-cast metal, enhancing the substantial, weighty feel of the armament. The set has been cleverly designed with a distribution of blue and purple accents, making it a perfect match for both the original purple-toned "METAL BUILD Hi-ν Gundam" and the blue-hued "METAL BUILD Hi-ν Gundam [METAL BUILD EXPO]" event exclusive.

Once fully equipped, the Hi-ν Gundam takes on a massively powerful and bulky silhouette. The chest and front skirt armor feature opening hatches that reveal intricately detailed missile launchers inside. The add-on leg armor contains a slide-out and rotating missile mechanism, and in a new METAL BUILD original feature, also includes a storage point for a Beam Saber.

The handheld weaponry gets a major boost with the inclusion of the "Hyper Mega Rifle" and the "Hyper Mega Shield." The rifle features an articulated forward grip and a deployable bipod. The shield is a masterpiece of multi-layered detail, with metallic paint highlighting the muzzles of its formidable twin Mega Particle Cannon. As a bonus, the set includes a special mechanical sub-arm for the side skirt, designed specifically to help the "METAL BUILD Hi-ν Gundam [METAL BUILD EXPO]" version securely hold its massive rifle.
