Globally renowned Hong Kong-based toy manufacturer Hot Toys has unveiled two new 1/6 scale collectible figures based on the upcoming "Masters of the Universe" film: He-Man and Skeletor. This article focuses on the formidable Skeletor, priced at HKD 2,190, with pre-orders slated to open on May 29, 2026!
The upcoming "Masters of the Universe" reboot film, set to hit theaters next week, will tell the story of ten-year-old Adam Green, who crash-lands on his mother's home planet, Earth, and loses the Sword of Power. Two decades later, he reclaims the sword and embraces his destiny to protect his home, aided by allies Teela and Captain Duncan, as he confronts evil forces. The full trailer was recently released, building immense anticipation for the film's premiere!
The most striking feature of this Skeletor 1/6 scale collectible figure is undoubtedly its hyper-realistic skull head sculpt. The production team has masterfully captured the yellowed shadows and intricate cracks on the bone with exquisite paintwork. The articulated jaw allows for dynamic posing, including a menacing screaming expression. Furthermore, the eye sockets feature an LED light-up function, enabling a chilling death gaze when activated! The body utilizes a specially developed seamless platinum silicone muscle body with blue skin, unique to Skeletor. This realistically conveys the character's muscular bulk, with complex painting techniques highlighting the bluish-green textures of his physique!
His attire meticulously recreates the tattered dark purple hooded cloak with intricate stitching. Hidden wires within the cloak allow for dynamic posing adjustments. The golden crown, a symbol of his dark dominion, is also exquisitely rendered, exuding an overwhelming imperial aura! Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands and his iconic Ram Skull Staff. The staff features UV-reactive paint on the eyes, allowing them to glow with an eerie, dark energy under UV light! Additionally, a Snake Mountain-themed display base is included, perfect for showcasing the figure. It can also be paired with the simultaneously released He-Man figure to recreate epic battle scenes!
