FREEing, the Japanese toy company, is releasing a new product in its large-scale "B-style" character figure series: the "Character Vocal Series 01 Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese" 1/3 scale pre-painted complete figure. This highly anticipated collectible, featuring the popular virtual singer Hatsune Miku, is priced at 88,000 JPY and is slated for release in March 2027.
"Hatsune Miku V4X" is a vocal synthesis software released by Crypton in 2016, developed using Yamaha's VOCALOID4 engine. It significantly improved pronunciation fluidity and nuance, and introduced the "GWL" function for adjusting growl and distortion effects. Subsequently, an official "V4 Chinese" version was released, featuring a re-recorded Chinese voice bank by voice actress Saki Fujita, enabling Miku to sing clear, natural, and fluent Chinese songs.
For this release, FREEing has faithfully brought to life Hatsune Miku from the package illustration drawn by renowned artist Mame no Moto for "Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese." The impressive 1/3 scale gives the figure a commanding presence, standing at an astonishing 55 cm tall. The exquisite sculpting meticulously recreates the classic costume's design and intricate wrinkle details. The pleated skirt, long boots, and arm covers feature a glossy finish with metallic trim, conveying an elegant texture. Most notably, the delicate textures and dynamic flow of her hair are reproduced with extreme precision, complemented by soft gradient paintwork and the figure's massive size, perfectly showcasing Miku's charm!
